Last year we launched, what we think is the first ever, 3Rs Hackathon. We brought 15 3Rs researchers and experts together for a day of innovation and problem-solving in 3Rs related science. This year, we have rebranded a little but the goal is the same – co-create and innovate new 3Rs projects!

During this one-day on-site workshop, you will be assigned into interdisciplinary groups, mixing laboratory research and social sciences perspectives, with the goal of a 3Rs advancement project together. Groups are guided in processes of ideation, collaborative problem solving and project creation inspired by your own research. Each group will have the opportunity to pitch their idea for a 3Rs collaborative solution and feedback is given by the mentors. Besides from developing these various soft skills, you will deepen your understanding of what the 3Rs mean in your own field and within the group and gain clearer insights into how 3Rs solutions can be implemented.
